Mystic Neighborhoods Preservation Association, Inc. is pleased to announce that a lawsuit brought by Masons Island homeowners against St. Edmund’s Retreat, Inc., located on Enders Island, has concluded with a settlement agreement that was entered as a stipulated judgment in Hartford Superior Court.
The agreement and judgement focus on reducing traffic on the privately-owned roads of Masons Island by limiting the uses of Enders Island to those which solely serve charitable or religious purposes.
The agreement and judgement make clear that Enders Island is not open to the general public, for public recreation or as a public park, but is, instead, a place of worship and religious retreat center. Enders Island remains open to those pursuing religious, spiritual reflection.
